Members of the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) are due to create over 800 jobs in 2015.
The announcement was made yesterday at the group’s annual BeerX event in Sheffield by Mike Benner, Managing Director of SIBA.
Mike said: “83 per cent of members are expecting to create at least one new job. That’s fantastic news in terms of what this sector is bringing to the economy and society. It translates to around 840 new jobs in the sector this year.”
Mike also pointed out that the third consecutive cut in beer duty was one of the reasons that the sector has had the confidence to grow.
